THE CHALLENGE
Develop a new virtual assistant for the German beauty company Essence, inspired by an AI-generated character created a few years earlier. This new version needed to feel more stylish, dynamic, and expressive; evolving beyond a static digital figure into a true brand influencer. The goal was to retain the recognizable traits of the original Kenna while elevating her visual identity and personality to align with the brand’s current aesthetic and audience expectations.
THE SOLUTION
Build the character entirely from scratch. The process included modeling, texturing, and rigging a fully optimized 3D character that preserved the key identifying features of the original version while introducing a fresh and contemporary style. Special attention was given to facial expressiveness and body mechanics to ensure natural animation performance and a strong on-screen presence.
THE RESULT
A series of motion-capture–driven animated videos, fully produced in just one week due to the client’s tight timeline an exceptionally fast turnaround for a project of this scale. All the AI development was made by Dept Agency
